What does Collaboration & Partnership with PVD-Young Makers look like?
Collaboration and Partnership
Providence Community Library serves the culturally rich people of Providence by adapting to their evolving reading and information needs with a diverse staff that delivers relevant library resources and programs, cultivates meaningful partnerships and promotes vibrant neighborhoods.
Providence Public Library (PPL) is a 143-year-old nonprofit corporation providing free public library services through its rich and historic physical and digital collections, extensive information resources, thought-provoking exhibitions, impactful educational programs, and expert staff.
Rhode Island Museum of Science and Art’s mission is to awaken curiosity and increase independent learning, creativity, and innovation in kids 8 and up – and adults, too! We want to help kids become creative problem solvers that can examine and understand the world around them. This mission is accomplished by encouraging the exploration of science through art, and art through science, with interactive exhibits, educational programming, performances and participation in music, dance and theater, informal discussions, and other museum events.
Young Voices is Rhode Island’s only state-wide organization that gives low-income youth the tools to have a voice – to master the skills needed to understand an issue, think strategically, speak out articulately and persuasively, and assume roles of leadership. They gain the skills to interact with the adult world in any context, creating measurable success.
